New Mexico United and its supporter group, The Curse, organized parades around three hospitals in downtown Albuquerque to celebrate healthcare workers. More than 100 vehicles, including police escorts, rolled through the areas thanking healthcare professionals for their dedication during the pandemic.
Cars transporting the black & yellow faithful, many waving flag out of their windows and singing United songs wrapped around UNMH, Presbytarian Downtown, and Kindred Heart Hospital. Signs bearing encouraging messages of gratitude were also on full display as workers waved to the parade from the sidewalks.
The parade was hopefully just the start of this community showing its support for those who have stepped up to keep us safe and our needs met during the pandemic.
