high performance program

Elevating the level of play in New Mexican youth soccer

our goals

The ultimate goal of the High Performance Program is to bridge the gap between youth programming across the state and the highest level of play. We aim to do so with programming that accomplishes A FEW key objectives:

It is essential to remove any possible barriers to entry and allowing equal access to programming regardless of any external circumstance. In practice, this means providing full scholarships to every player, facilitating transport to and from training and games for every player, and scouting for youth talent in every corner of the state. Beyond access and accommodation, the HPP is differentiated by a direct relationship between the youth players and the professional players they aspire to become. Youth players join in on first team training, as well as having first team coaches and players lead HPP training sessions.

60

players are currently on full scholarships, training at the highest level in new mexico alongside professional players and coaches.

6

different towns across new mexico are currently represented by high performance program players.

our approach

from the day our coaching staff stepped foot in new mexico, they began the process of scouting and recruiting the top talent in new mexico. that means traveling across the state for matches and hosting clinics everywhere they possibly can.

Meeting youth players of different age groups and skill levels from all over the state necessitates a spectrum of youth programming options. So far, New Mexico United Coaches and Players have led clinics and summer youth camps around the state to identify top youth talent while providing hands on training, scouting youth matches in their free time. These culminated in a series of viewing sessions where the highest level of youth players in the state were identified by coaching staff. The 60 players recruited to the inaugural HPP class train together regularly.
